Pointe-aux-Trembles, commonly called PAT, is a neighborhood in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles (RDP-PAT) borough of the City of Montreal. Situated along the banks of the Saint Lawrence River in the eastern part of Montreal, this area offers a mixture of urban and suburban life. With a historical legacy that notably features several homes dating from the eighteenth century, including Maison Antoine-Beaudry, one of the oldest, the Vieux Pointe-aux-Trembles public square and the Old Mill, built in 1719, as well as easy access to the river and its three water shuttles, Pointe-aux-Trembles is a lively, welcoming neighborhood. PAT is also home to one of the most important regional parks, the Pointe-aux-Prairies Nature Park.
Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles covers an area of 42.3 km², making it the second largest borough on the Island of Montreal in terms of territory, with a population of more than 106,700 residents. Located between the Saint Lawrence River and the Back River, RDP-PAT borders Montréal-Nord, Anjou and Montreal East.
