Plateau-Mont-Royal is one of the 19 boroughs of the City of Montreal. Located in the heart of the island on the east slope of Mount Royal, overlooking the downtown area, it borders the boroughs of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie to the north, Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve to the east, Ville-Marie to the south and Outremont to the west. It’s home to 104,000 inhabitants distributed over an area of 8.1 square kilometers.
